Opening again in early February 2010 after an extensive refurbishment, Sawrey House unwent a remarkable transformation from a tired and neglected guest house, into a beautiful, well appointed and elegant Country House Hotel. With careful consideration to interior design, we created a hotel that offers modern comforts and style whilst being sympathetic to this beautiful building and the local area.
Set in the sculpted gardens designed for lazy indolence, Sawrey House is the quintessential English rural hideaway. Built in the 1830's with slate from the local quarry, it is one of the prettiest buildings in the prestine conservation hamlet of Near Sawrey.
